Adebayor Gets Wage Rise

Arsenal's main gun man Adebayor is finally going to stay in Emirates Stadium. He has completely denied several quotes which indicated he demanded money to commit to the club. Apparently he has been handed the wage rise he wanted.

Ofcourse not all quotes were accurate, but it is obviously a newly offered inflated salary which has made the Togolese take back his thoughts. He told that he hardly picked up the newspaper to read during the summer vacation. Even he claimed that his cell phone had been switched-off.

We should keep in mind how money plays a part in situation like this, and also learn that new contracts are not necessarily permanent commitments. Adebayor signed new deal only last summer, and logically re-signing again this year, is only for a pay rise. Perhaps his loyalty can be questioned for surely.

But the Arsenal faithful can do no more than takes the positive from this news, as it means a new step for the squads stability. Thus, Arsenal has moved in the right path by keeping the Togolese striker.
